Ironically, Prince Hamlet was guilty after killing the manipulating Polonius. The fact he did not know it was Polonius (he was shocked because it was the wrong person that he planned getting revenge on), but at the same time he was cold-hearted. Prince Hamlet said some mean things to Polonius by calling him “ low-life, nosy, busy body fool” dismissing him as a nobody(3.4.30-35). Prince Hamlet felt no guilt or mercy for conniving Polonius being stabbed. Hamlet also started to get better with his jokes and worst in his manner“Ophelia failing relationship with Prince Hamlet also caused depression in her life”(Ophelia’s Madness) nothing seemed to satisfy Prince Hamlet demands nor her father’s and brother’s instructions. This was some of the causes that made Ophelia think of Prince Hamlet in a different way. Ophelia also felt like Prince Hamlet had many crushing demands that she could not follow because of her father and brother’s instructions. Prince Hamlet was then driven crazy because of her rejecting him. There was so much going on in the play due to Polonius’s death that Ophelia just could not take it anymore, so she decided to take her very own
