He shows the reader the current situation, how students are ridden of their true education and forced to accept the concepts of the teacher and the teacher only, where there is no thinking allowed for the students, and their imagination is slowly sucked out of their brains. That makes students never think critically or develop ideas and then the banking education will prevent the students' creativity. Therefore, The banking concept of education should be excluded. The students learn from the teachers and opposite the teachers learn from the students. First, about the ethos in his essay contributes to persuading the reader by his credibility. Because Freire is who is “one of the most influential radical educators of our world”( Freire 242). Besides, he used to teach illiterate adults how to read and write by overall providing information to those who struggle receiving or understanding complex thoughts in a way that can be applied. In addition, he mentions his meeting that he had in Chile where he discussed the banking concept of education with others. That creates the reader more believe about him. Secondly, throughout the essay, Freire uses of pathos by comparing the banking concept of education with problem-posing education. For instance, when Freire describes the banking concept of education and the problem-posing education, Freire uses words that have a negative connotation such as forces, oppressed, inhibits and he compares the students in a banking system to "containers or receptacles to be filled by the teacher" (Freire, 244).His purpose is that create a reader negatively thinking about banking concept because this education style inhibits creativity and not positive aspects of good education. That's why the students who are subjected to domination should fight to emancipate.
