High school experience is very different from college life. It 's like stepping into two completely different worlds however they both focus on improving our skills. Every student requires different soft skills in a field but, as a psychology major, the skills I need to work on are teamwork, communication and leadership skills. The teaching styles of a high school teacher and a college professor is very divergent and tend to develop in different directions. The teacher’s thinking is authenticated only by the authenticity of the student’s thinking and expressing. In high school, it 's necessary for a teacher to have a scholarly relationship with their students in order to get to know them and likewise. Whereas, in college, some professors don’t communicate or have enough time to get to know their students personally especially in big schools. I always had communication issues back in Pakistan most likely because the teachers would call me out in front of class if I made a mistake or think I am not smart enough if I asked a irrelevant question. Due to low self-esteem, I never made that many friends until I moved to America. The relationship between my teachers and I was very professional but yet friendly. There are a few items I would share with my father about what I have. The first item I would like to explain would be how different an online experience is compared to an in-class setting. His entire college career was spent in the classroom so I think he sees these courses as a gimmick. The reality in most classrooms subject the students to the dictations of teachers, who expect the regurgitation of those lectures. Education in schools are no longer based on helping the students think outside the box but maintain a uniformity of information that the teacher or a higher form of authority deems important. Freire speaks thoroughly about systems of education in his essay, he compares the relationships between teachers and their students in the banking concept of education and the problem posing method of education. He believes that some forms of education can provide students with power and control, but in most cases teachers submit their students to oppression. If Freire were to look at the history of Rodriguez’s schooling he would be quite appalled. Rodriguez contradicts all of Freire’s opinions and theories in regards to schooling.…

It helps children to feel comfortable if they have something to convey, therefore it helps with their own self-esteem and confidence, although it also benefits everyone.
