Aerobics was sensational in the 80s. Leotards, leggings, legwarmers, and headbands were insanely popular accessories when going along with aerobics shows broadcasting on the television. Aerobics clothing were best known for their neon colors, funky prints and patterns, and comfort.
Raves became a very popular subculture in the 80s; it was meant for people to dance for hours and hours to music. Clothing for raves was one of the obvious fashion trends that showed the withdrawal of the conservative views of dressing. Rave clothing were often bright and bold in color, accessorized with beaded jewelry and glittery bold makeup. Women often wore crop tops that exposed their belly while dancing and men wore clothes that did not restrict movement.
