Issue Statement: Language barrier is Major in the situation. The waiters and waitresses need a clear-cut stations. The kitchen staff needs to grow up and run the kitchen how they are told. There needs to some full time waiters and waitresses.
Analysis: The Bamboo Garden was open for dinner and lunch every day of the week. It was the busiest on the weekends which made it a popular spot. There was no manager on the floor helping out also the hostess would stand unattended for some reason. Unlike other popular restaurants some of the customers would either look for someone to be seated or I would guess just go seat themselves if they didn’t leave first. With in the Bamboo Garden it seemed like the waiters and other staff members where all over the place. Managers seemed to be in their respective offices looking into paying bills, ordering food, and making schedules. On the other hand there was not any excitement of any rush …show more content…
There is no real authority figure when she is gone. Also the language barriers need to be settled up, there is a Sushi Chef that really doesn’t like to speak English, the kitchen staff that speaks Japanese, and the busser and dishwashers only speak Spanish. With everyone else able to speak English. It seems like a melting pot with huge language barriers. The kitchen staff seem to have no guidance or a problem with authority figures because they run the kitchen basically how they want to with no regards to Sue Lee. The organization with in the Bamboo Garden is nil to none with the waiter and waitresses having not real organization with seating
