Drucker And Falk: Business Analysis

The Balanced scorecard is “a tool to manage and evaluate strategy” (David, 2015, p. 291). In my line of work at Drucker and Falk, it is extremely important to have the financials in balance at all times. Drucker and Falk uses a series of checks and balances in order to maintain financial balance at all times. This is one important aspect when it comes to the relationship Drucker and Falk has with its clients, the owner(s) or ownership companies. Areas of objectives on the balanced scorecard in addition to the financial aspect of the business include the customers, the managers and employees, the operations and procedures utilized, the community and/or social responsibility that the business has, and the ethics that the business observes …show more content…
This company helps measure the strategies set out by Drucker and Falk from the perspective of the residents. There are many areas of this survey. First, the survey is sent out to prospective residents who have not been closed, or rented to. This survey is called the unclosed traffic survey. It asks questions to gather information on whether or not a person would be willing to rent from a specific community. It asks questions about the leasing agent that they encountered during their tour of the community, the overall appearance of the community, and the professionalism of the office staff. If for any reason, the prospective resident marks that they would not be willing to rent from the community, the survey goes on to ask the prospective resident what the reasoning would be. Some would choose a different community and there are a plethora of reasons why. This information gathered through that survey helps Drucker and Falk manage its incoming traffic a lot better and be better prepared for tours that may be comparing one community to another. Another portion of the survey is sent out to current resident whose leases are due to expire soon. If they have not been renewed in the system yet, this survey asks the resident if they plan to renew and why pr why not. This prepares the community and helps them forecast occupancy correctly if they know that they may be losing a resident. Another portion of the survey relates to the maintenance side of the business. This survey gets sent out to residents who have recently had work done in their apartment by one of the maintenance technicians. It helps rate the quality of the work that the maintenance technician performed along with the time taken to respond to the work request. All of these survey items help the community by giving more insight into their many

The zip code I chose is 01801, which is my hometown of Woburn, Massachusetts. Woburn is a suburb located about 20 minutes outside of Boston. The two segments I reviewed were Movers and Shakers and Home Sweet Home. Movers & Shakers: Movers & Shakers is home to America's up-and-coming business class: a wealthy suburban world of dual-income couples who are highly educated, typically between the ages of 35 and 54 and often with children. Given its high percentage of executives and white-collar professionals, there's a decided business bent to this segment: Movers & Shakers rank first for owning a small business and having a home office.…
