Analysis Of The Road Not Taken By Salva

Have you ever made a bad choice? The choices that we make dictate our future.The bad decisions we make affects our future. How do the choices we make help us become better people. For every action there is a reaction to a problem. In a long walk to water salva was suppose to run into the bushes but he didn’t. In ” THE ROAD NOT TAKEN” the narrator didn’t know if he/she wanted to go down the left road or the right road. In the poem “CHOICES” to me it sounded like someone lost their job and don’t know what to do about it. In A LONG WALK TO WATER BY: LINDA Sue Park ,Salva school was by the war that was happening. The war was because people didn’t want to be forced to learn a new language. During the war they had started shooting and the teacher told the students to not run to home run in the bushes. Salva didn’t listen he ran somewhere else away from his village. I know this because in the text it says “Then he was running, too running as hard as he could into the bush. Away from home”. I know this because in the poem it states that “ my job is to not do what i don’t want to do” stanza (1). It also sounds like the narrator is sad because she probably can’t get the job she always wanted I know this because in the poem it says “if i can’t have what i want . . . then my job is to want what i’ve got and be satisfied that at least there is something more to want.” stanza (2). I also know that this person is sad because in the poem it says “ when i can’t express what i really feel i practice feeling what i can express and none of it is equal i know but that’s why mankind alone among the animals learns to cry”.
