While most go about their lives not realizing how they are acting upon certain situations or what they are viewing on television, revolves around human nature and our ability to control it. According to Mimi Avins in her article, “The Bachelor: Silly, Sexist, and to Many, Irresistible,” she shares to us about her curiosity and addiction as well as others to the demeaning TV show “The Bachelor”. As Avins was never intrigued by the stupidity and unscripted reality shows, for her well-mannered friends they gazed and screamed over the intelligent, handsome, young fellow choosing between 25 women in the TV show “The Bachelor”. Once Avin’s sophisticated female friends confessed their secret love for the show, she was now curious and tuned in to watch
