68-year-old Edna was never the kind of lady to sit around and knit all day. She’d be more accurately described with words like adventurous, plucky, and impressive. Her live in male nurse, Colin, was a different story. His descriptive words mostly consisted of apprehensive, clumsy, and irritable. He, of course, had every right to be crabby for the wild Edna would constantly be dragging along the poor fellow on one of her many escapades. You’d think these scenarios would be few and far between in the sleepy southern town of Moss Point, Mississippi. But there was no break for the weary young man during his time with the eccentric yet lovable elder. She visited five of her neighbors; Old Man Higgins, local Homeowner Association rep Carol Smith, Lisa Stevens, Michael Novak, and Jamal Jones. As she visited each person they all said they had, similar to her, been experiencing problems with their post. All except for Old Man Higgins, who after opening the door simply glared at her until Colin pulled her away fearfully. Edna huffed in indignation at his audacity, but continued on her investigation. She then leaped up off the couch while Colin attempted to grab her before she left the house. His failure was evident, however when Edna opened the door and hurdled towards the thief aiming to reveal his identity. She successfully rips of the hood off of the man screaming, “I’ve gotchya’ now!” Both Edna and Colin gasp once discovering that the Bundle Bandit is none other than Old Man Higgins. She gently gets off of the man as he shakily stands up off the ground.
He looked at the now powerful woman in his eyes and asked her, “Please don’t turn me into the police! I’ll do anything!” Edna looks at him pityingly and agrees to not report him if he returns all the stolen items with new items and never steals anything again. He agrees wholeheartedly and scurried off to his home down the
