In this movie we see the setting being in the late 1920s with a man named, Howard Hughes, being passionate with his work in film as well as with his passion towards planes. During the movie we can see that California is viewed as a good place to do film. We also see that the demand for films in Hollywood are becoming more requested by the people. Especially as the movies begin to lengthen as well as becoming comic, and movies transitioning away from the silent films. We see this by the fact that he has two projects on building two different types of planes for the army. The only thing that we didn’t see was women working in these manufactures, which are for obvious reasons since the movie was about Hughes. Another thing with this film was that the technology for airplanes were also growing, with the way it was built and on it’s speed. Hughes was obsessed with the speed of the planes and wanted them to be the fastest planes ever. With the speed for the planes being a new “must haves” it would be more convenient for the war. Other than that, I did not really notice that much difference or similarities between the movie and a historical event besides the event of
