One of the most fascinating current events today is the upcoming Presidential Election campaign. The campaign is interesting because it is a truism that as individuals we are curious about our leaders and critically discuss their actions. On this basis, political leaders are often under scrutiny because of their leadership styles, their goals and vision, which sets the tone for their political battle. Due to these occurrences leadership behaviors and styles are constantly being examined. Leadership is the common methods used in daily business operations (Nelson & Quick, 2012). Donald Trump, who is a wealthy outspoken businessman, television personality and also chairs the Trump Organization is currently expanding on his leadership rolls …show more content…
Because of his irregular approach he often faces conflicts not only with strangers but with those he has an ongoing relationship with. Autocratic leadership style is beneficial in an election campaign because as a resilient and edict leader there are many that depend, and look upon you for guidance when there are ambiguities (Rast, Hogg, Giessner, 2013). With active management his campaign is focused on strategically improving ways to improve and support his vision to alleviate the country from its current position to one excellence as his businesses have been for years. Strong and direct leaders retain the ability to handle very demanding conditions as they arises which is comforting because when there is need to be directed he will firmly state precisely the required steps to overcome hindrances (Bhatti, mailto, Shaikh, Hashmi, Shaikh, …show more content…
For example if a leader is against outsourcing jobs that leader should not engage in outsourcing jobs. Recently, Mr. Trump argued passionately against outsourcing of jobs. In addition, he highlighted that the manufacturing jobs are been taken by other countries resulting in a negative effect on the American economy as well as the job market. Ironically, it was later revealed that his clothing line of dress shirts, ties, and accessories for men were indeed made in in another country, hence, his unconventional business practice has cast shadow on his organization also convey mixed signals. Another unconventional business practice or action of Mr. Trump is the filing of bankruptcy petitions. Companies that carry his name have filed bankruptcy over three times. This unconventional business practice often works in Mr. Trump’s favor he should be given credit for operating in such manner
