The Autobiography Of Benjamin Franklin Book Review

In his book, The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin , Benjamin Franklin discusses his life and all the things he has accomplished in it. Franklin lived in a time of radical and political change, beginning at a time when witch trials were prevalent throughout the Colonies, and ending in a time when electricity had become the new sensation and a newly independent nation takes its rightful place as the new world power. When he was fifteen years old, Franklin had his first job as a newspaper delivery boy during the day and wrote his own articles for the newspapers at night. But, in 1792, he was sent to prison for writing an article was considered offensive by the townsfolk. In October 1723, Franklin left Boston and moved to Philadelphia. When he arrived there, he was He was very concerned because when he got there, he only carried three cents in his pocket. He met William Keith, the governor of Pennsylvania at the time and they formed a great friendship. Keith advised Franklin to go to London to pursue a career in printing . Franklin eventually agreed with Keith and continued his studies. Franklin worked at many printing houses by the time he was eighteen years old. Benjamin Franklin had achieved so much in his in his life. One of his many accomplishments was creating the first fire company and insurance company so that people would be safer. He was also a great inventor, being responsible for creating bifocal glasses, the Stove, the lightning rod, and swimming fins. One of his greatest accomplishments included being selected to be apart of the Pennsylvania Assembly, being chosen to be president of the Pennsylvania executive council, his great diplomacy skills and being a supporter of the
