“People are like stained glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in; their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.” You may have heard this famous quote by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross and her words couldn 't be more true. Anyone can look perfect and shine on the outside, but what really matters is who you are on the inside. Beauty can be defined by two different categories, your inner, soulful beauty and your outer, physical beauty, but it takes equal amounts of both to make up an individual. Physical beauty is the qualities of a person that others can see, such as one’s hair, facial features, body type, and skin tone. Physical beauty is biological and can be defined by the culture you live in. Attractive traits of physical beauty vary by individual’s preference. There is a lot of pressure put on the young adults, especially women of today to be perfect and look perfect all the time. In the past few years, more people are feeling that outer beauty outshines your inner beauty. Your physical look is more helpful than having a good personality; that having the ‘perfect hair’ and ‘perfect smile’ will help you get further in life. You can enhance your outer appearance with make-up, clothing, jewelry, but never change it fully, whereas inner beauty you can change if you have the drive to do it. In todays society the Plastic Surgery is a booming business for people feel they need to keep fixing and changing their appearance to make themselves better. Where if they just look within and are truly happy with themselves their true inner beauty will shine through and then they will see that their outward appearance is just fine.
