People taking part in the public display should have a clear idea of what they are demonstrating and why. What is their connection to the cause? What social change are they looking to achieve? During my time at NCAA I got the feeling that staff, volunteers and clients all understood the barriers to accessing government programs but had lost the drive to “fight to the power”. This loss appears to be due to several factors: minimal support staff and volunteers, lack of time, copious amounts of clientele referral, and lack of funding. This loss of initiative has fostered an environment where clients are supported on a 1:1 basis which produces an overwhelming environment. It appears to be a vicious circle that will require some radical change and organization to break. I suggest that the NCAA engage in some demonstrations to spark the grass roots flame that let the fire previously fueling the NCAA. They could do this
