The artist Jacopo Zucchi was born in Italy in 1540 and passed away in 1596. He was a painter in the 16th century. When I went to the Yale Art Museum, I saw his painting “The Assembly of the Gods”. The painting was created in 1575, which was the period of the renaissance. It was located in the second floor in the ‘European Art’ collection area. The painting itself was was very small compared to others. It was 12 1/4 x 8 3/4in., but you are still able to see all the details it offers. The mediums used to create this piece were oil on copper. When you observe the painting, you see that the negative space is the blue background and the positive are the Gods. Zucchi uses dark colors in the background and brighter ones on his positive
