When video games have a series, the mechanics behind the game, which affects how they are played, either stay exactly the same throughout the series or they are changed in some way or another, such as what buttons do what, the way the game is played (ex: stealth or in your face), or how challenging it is. In the Assassin’s Creed series, one and two in particular, the changes made in between them are noticeable. The changes are as in the first game, the player can hardly manage to sneak around without being caught, where as in the second, it relies mainly on sneaking and being able to kill without being seen. Or in one, the buttons to be able to get around quickly and use your tracking abilities were in different places than in two or how in …show more content…
In the Assassin’s creed series, the main focus of them is to sneak around enemies to avoid conflicts as well as some missions require the player to not be seen at all or else they fail the mission. In the first game though, how the sneaking mechanic works is that you have to stay out of sight of enemies at all times otherwise they will see the player and kill them. When playing assassin’s creed one, the player always has to be aware their surroundings and plan out where to go based on the path the enemies take so they can get around without much trouble.
In Assassin’s Creed Two, the sneaking mechanic is much more forgiving because when you are spotted, they don’t automatically start a figh,t but will slowly realize it is you, giving you a chance to get away. In the second game of the series, they “dumbed down” the sneaking difficulty so the player did not have such a hard time playing the game. This is what makes this game’s sneak mechanic better than the

For the first game of the series, they made it that any enemy that sees the player will come after them and do a lot of damage because they hit the player very fast and are really annoying to fight. Because of this, the combat feature not that great.
In Assassin’s Creed two, they were very forgiving after Assassin’s Creed one and made much easier by adding the counter feature which allowed the player to stop an enemy attack and hit them with their own. The combat is not too fast for the player and allows them to fight them with ease. In the second game, the developers did a better job in the combat area, they still could of done a better job with it.
When video games stay the same in a series, the player gets a sense of familiarity that some people enjoy while for others, games that have changed in some way each time in a series, it gives them a sense of challenge each time. As seen above, the makers of the Assassin’s Creed series did a much better job with making number two as in when they made the first game. As the series continued, they made more changes and more improvements each

There are many differences between the movie and the book. One reason is the air raids were much worse in the movie. In the book there weren’t as many air raids, but when there were they weren’t nearly as bad as in the movie. Additionally, the movie has more scenes than the book. For example, the movie had two thief scenes when the book only had one.…

While the game is presented through protagonist Desmond Miles, the bulk of the game is played as Desmond experiences the memories of his ancestors through an advanced device called the Animus. This provides a means of a diegetic interface, showing Desmond's ancestor's health, equipment, goals, and other features as part of the Animus interface. The Animus is based on the player controlling the assassin to maintain the synchronization between Desmond and his ancestor's memories. Performing actions that go against the Assassin's way or dying breaks the synchronization, effectively requiring the player to restart at a previous checkpoint. Furthermore, the player cannot explore outside areas that the assassin has not experienced yet.…

Codes and espionage are interesting topics. In fact, there are two books I know that are written historically about espionage. “The Dark Game: True Spy Stories from Invisible Ink to CIA Moles” by Paul Janeczko and “The Code Book: The Science of Secrecy from Ancient Egypt to Quantum Cryptography” by Simon Singh are both about the history of espionage. Although The Dark Game by Paul Janeczko and The Code Book by Simon Singh are both nonfiction books about the history of espionage, the point of view, style, and tone is very different.…

Time and time again people come to the common question of, “Movies vs. books?” Many movies follow their books word for word whether its character development or plot development, whereas other movies change and twist the book’s stories in unimaginable ways, yet people are still faced with the question, “Movies or books?” An example of how books and movies can differ is in the story “The Outsiders” written by S. E. Hinton and produced by Francis Coppola. Although there are many similarities that both the book, The Outsiders, and the movie share, there were many noticeable differences in the appearance and personalities of all the characters. Three of the main characters, Pony, Johnny and Soda, will be reviewed in particular.…

Covert observation is when the participant is unaware that they are been observed. Often, some individuals go under cover to do their observations. (Encyclopedia.com, 2015) The advantages of covert observation is it does not disturb the normal behaviour of the group because the participant is unaware they are being observed so they would not act differently they would act in a way they would normally act. Therefore, there is higher validity because the participant would not be able to change their behaviour to make themselves look better because they have no idea. Another advantage is it allows the researcher to gain more in-depth and detailed information about the group they are observing because they are undercover and unaware so they would be able to find out more detail because the participants are unaware they would not change their behaviour.…

A dominant force in football games for almost a decade, Pro Evolution Soccer outshines its competition and increases its lead. While FIFA has come close at times, Pro Evo has doubtlessly been the better series to buy, and the newest installment of PES shows the game's edge. FIFA made a stretch that rebuilt the franchise, but for Konami, they played it safe and only added a few new things. Because of those changes, Pro Evolution Soccer 6 does not look much different from the current generation on the surface.…
