Rodney King Rodney King was born on April 2nd, 1965. He was a man who was beaten by 4 officers of the LAPD. The incident was all over the news across America. Then, when the verdict of his trial came out as ‘not guilty’ for the 4 officers, riots in South Central Los Angeles began.
On March 19, 1991 King was leading the cops in a high speed car chase. When King finally stopped the car, he was pulled from it and was beaten by batons, tasered, and kicked by the four officers. While all of this was happening a man on his balcony, by the name of George Holliday, was videotaping it all. He then later gave the tape to the news and it got people a little riled up. Then “on April 29,1992 the whole world learned of the Simi Valley verdict of ‘not guilty’
