The Assassination Of John Lennon's Life

"When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down 'happy'. They told me I didn't understand the assignment, and I told them they didn't understand life." John Lennon's quote shows how he took his mother's advice to always be happy and tried to remain happy even though people might try and bring him down. The assassination of John Lennon was unjust because he was a kind person, he would also bring people together from many tragedies, and his songs were inspirational to many people. Some people may say John Lennon's death was just because he did many bad things. This point of view makes sense because he broke up the Beatles by leaving the band which then had many people thinking whether or not the Beatles could go on without Lennon. Or that he lied about himself to make people think that he had a great life in his past. For example, he claimed he had been a working class lad from Liverpool before the Beatles, but in reality he was raised in a middle-class home. John Lennon was a political peace activist during the Vietname War protest movement and made a song called "Give Peace A Chance". Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono organized many famous rallies and protest concepts. After the protests, Lennon started recieving harrasment from the CIA and a deportation notice after the U.S. government caught the attention of the protests. Then the ruling was overturned after Richard Nixon left office. Since John Lennon's song was so popular, 500,000 demonstators sung this song in Washington DC at the Vietnam Moratorium
