In this video, the narrator goes into detail about the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. In the beginning, John Wilkes Booth is described as ensuring that he can definitely escape, making sure that the notch and stick are still on the exit. He then awaits the climactic scene, then as the audience begins to laugh, he shoots Abraham Lincoln on top of the balcony of the theatre. Then, Wilkes quickly rushes out of the theatre, leaving everyone else in mixed feelings. After describing the assassination, the narrator then discusses the planning portion of the assassination. He arranged a group of a conspirators. There were three attacks where George Atzerodt had to attack Vice President Andrew Johnson, Lewis Powell was to attack the secretary of state, and Booth was to kill Lincoln. He then stopped by a tavern run by conspirators, then this family travelled to the house of another conspirator, where these individuals helped tend to his wounded leg. The information is somewhat reliable however, due to the fact that after fact checking it with other sources, then the audience will be able to see much of the same information elsewhere. The source does pertain to the research paper because it delves into many similarities to Julius Caesar. This video further enhanced my knowledge in understanding what kind of person John Wilkes Booth was and how he accomplished assassinating Abraham Lincoln. This source can be used in my research as background information or a way to connect Booth back to Brutus or
