During human evolution, smiling has been learned for representing the state of joy. The effect of smile on society is undeniable. As we know, attractive smile is a result of consistency between various parts of teeth, intra and extra oral soft tissues. So a golden smile can be achieved by applying beauty standards during treatment. The standards originate from many different sources, such as the principles of beauty in art, the measured values of a certain race, studying a group of people who are generally considered pretty. Yet, none of the values and standards of scientific articles cited in the references has been proven for clinical use.

Materials and methods:
This was a cross-sectional survey performed at the School of Dentistry of the University of Medical Science, Iran.
Standardized frontal extra oral photographs of a young woman with ideally aligned teeth and pleasing smile were taken.
The photos were modified by using Adobe Photoshop CS8 software, and 26 results were created by combination of special grades of each factor in smile esthetic that have been mentioned. The photos were arranged randomly in an album, while each photo consisted of just one modification and was assigned an exclusive code.
Questionnaires were attached to photos for evaluators. Questions include personal information such as age, sex, field and level of education, and being left or right-handed.
The attractiveness of the smile in each photo was assessed by the evaluators and scored a 10 point visual analogue scale with 0 as the least attractive smile and 10 as the most
