yrus Defeats Spargapises The art institute of Chicago is home to thousands of priceless pieces of artwork that people from all around the world come travel to see. All cultures come together to critique these pieces of artwork. The best part of this experience is the fact that an opinion isn’t wrong, everyone sees something different in their own unique way. While most stop in sublime at La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat, many people walk past it to get to the weapons section. Just a big melting pot centered in Chicago. It has the ability to walk someone through time and dissect what was going through the artist 's mind at the time. And as I’m looking at the pillars I can picture Pierre Viagnon by the pillars and the carvings next to them. And much like history paintings there were also very detailed and huge carvings depicting some type of event. Not only that but the architecture of the building is warm and inviting. Walkways and benches are placed inside the parks for guests to walk in and marvel at these works of art, vegetation is growing on the artwork and grasping the building itself the trees branches shouldn’t be as long as they are but the park wouldn’t look as good if they weren’t, so they attached wires to them. Walking into the lobby is like I’m walking into a portrait, there’s even more pillars and beautiful marble floor. It’s not a room it’s an environment with top notch security. So after i 'm done paying I can jump out of this portrait and I have a variety of choices I can start with and after walking past romantic, Chinese and plenty of other great sections I catch a glimpse of a huge metallic horse with a tiny metallic rider. I walk into a hall of fame for the warriors of the renaissance era. The whole room is dramatically changed to a red color. It isn 't a violent red, its more of a calm and …show more content…
Even though I only had small knowledge about the art world it made me appreciate and understand the works much better. Small sculptures and paintings that i would have otherwise walked past intrigued and fascinated me. Cyrus defeats spargapises was the artwork that stood out to me because of its great detail.
