According to the Food and Drug Administration, “patients and their caregivers are turning to marijuana in an attempt to treat conditions such as seizures and chemotherapy-induced nausea”(FDA). The disagreement surrounding marijuana stems from the legalization of the drug for medical use. Pro-activist of the drug would argue the safe use of ganja, while there are still those that would refute marijuana as a non-habit forming efficient way to medicate. Over the years, arguments concerning marijuana presented several disputes over: experimental testing, cognition, addiction, conditions of usage, and age limitations. Furthermore, research may yet uncover the vast majority of questions and uneasiness posed by medical marijuana; proving cannabis to be a valid and nontoxic form of medication.

Over the years society has taught us; marijuana is a gateway drug, is powerfully addictive, and can ultimately cause brain damage.
