It is mandatory in China and they have to test on animals as it says in this article “In China for certain cosmetics products, animal testing is not only legal it is mandatory” (Chitrakorn para. 13) Some people might say they test to know if they are safe for our use but it can hurt animals. It is wrong and they should not test on animals they are killing them and the animals did nothing. For example, some chemicals are forced down animals’ throats or injected into their skin which causes many side effects or even death (“Cosmetics” para. 10) In conclusion, animal testing should not be mandatory and should be banned all over the world not just in some countries.
In conclusion animal testing is harmful and should not be legal no matter if it does test to see if chemicals are safe for our use. For example, animals are dying or being hurt by having chemicals poured into their eyes or forced down their throats. Also, it is so harmful companies do not even use chemicals that have been tested on animals. However, it is a law and they have to test on animals, no matter if an animal dies because of it. I believe that cosmetic animal testing is wrong and should be banned because it is cruel, inaccurate, not very reliable, and has been proven to be unnecessary. Approximately 200,000 animals will suffer and die every year for cosmetics around the world. We as a whole have all decided that this is not necessary which is why we stopped making testing on animal cosmetics something that had to be done. Companies still continue to do it.…

According to Troy Seidle a pole concluded that, “88 percent of us believe animal testing causes pain and suffering to animals and that such suffering just for cosmetics isn’t worth it, especially when safe ingredients are already available,”(Seidle). Considering that most people don’t feel the need to buy products with newly tested ingredients, why should companies continue to do that it is not an absolutely necessary practice. There are thousands of chemicals out there that have already gone through the process of being tested so it wouldn’t be like companies couldn’t make new products, they could make many. Yes companies want to make money by selling newly improved products but that is not going to make people want to buy products that aren’t apart of their daily use. Gregory Mone states that animal testing is a long and expensive process and can take several years and use up millions of dollars to carry out, (Mone).…
