To start, evolution is, from the lecture Evolutionary Biology: All things great from small, the transformation of animals, plants, and other living organisms into different forms by the accumulation of changes over successive generations (OED). Based on Darwin’s argument, it has been taught that natural selection is known for the causes of evolution because natural selection is the process of which the environment favor the species with favorable traits that will help them survive. Scientists believes that at some point all living beings were one single cell, but throughout years it all developed into animals and humans. In the book, The Origin of Species, Darwin wrote “all organic beings are exposed to severe competition” as he named it, natural selection (Darwin). Darwin later in his book explained natural selection as “any variation in the least degree injurious would be rigidly destroyed. This preservation of favourable variations and the rejection of injurious variations, I call Natural Selection (Darwin).” In other words, Darwin explained the idea of natural selection as nature selecting genetic or physical traits of a species to adapt the changing environment, but if those traits don’t benefit them it will be eliminated. Whereas If those traits does benefit a species, then it will be passed on through future generations if necessary. What’s different about what the Bible and Darwin argue is that the Bible indicates everyone and everything was created with capabilities, whereas Darwin argues that all living organisms had to sacrifice themselves to fit in the changing environment. Yet the book of God and the book of Evolution have different explanations of how life was form, they both have the same conclusion of humans being the intelligent
