The Argument Against Hillary Clinton

Improved Essays
Hillary Clinton is the first woman to ever win the nomination of one of the two major parties. This seems to be the main reason why she believes that she should be president. Instead of focusing her campaign on policy issues, she has made the whole thing about “making history.” This approach to the election is eerily similar to the strategy that Barack Obama used in 2008, where he distracted the voters from the real issues by using the “race card” and the notion of electing the first black president. Hillary has done the same, except she is using the “woman card” instead of the “race card.” Every time Hillary has faced a detractor of any sorts, she and her campaign has used the “woman card,” and labelled the person as a sexist. The strategy …show more content…
In reality, Hillary is far from this. Hillary has famously stated that “every rape victim deserves to be heard.” This sounds like an innocent, obvious statement. However, with Hillary, it is more complicated. Her own husband, former president Bill Clinton, has been accused of rape by two women; Juanita Broaddrick, and Kathleen Willey. He’s also been accused of sexual harassment and assault by many others. Instead of abandoning her husband and siding with the women who accused him of rape, Hillary stuck with Bill, and tried to destroy the lives of these women by calling them bimbos, stalkers, and blackmailers. Hillary’s past greatly conflicts with her statement that every rape victim should be heard, as she has intentionally silenced the voices of at least two supposed rape victims of her husband’s. Hillary does not care about women. She is simply using her position as one in order to advance herself in the presidential race. Sadly, it’s …show more content…
A feminist is supposed to be a woman who was self-made, and did not need a man to support her. A woman such as Sarah Palin, who fought her way into a prominent position on her own through hard work and dedication, is a true feminist. Hillary, on the other hand, has had most of her success based on the fact that her husband was attorney general and governor of Arkansas and then president. After Bill got out of office, Hillary was essentially inserted as a senator in New York, a very liberal state, where she won using Bill’s name. Afterwards, she was appointed as the secretary of state, again because her husband was the former president. Hillary is not a feminist at all, and has rode Bill’s coattails to everything that she has accomplished in her

Précis: In this article “Clinton, Trump and Sexism” Nicholas Kristof discusses how Hilary Clinton is an openly feminist running for president and that people like most about Hilary Clinton’s candidacy is her gender. Kristof also talks about how women are “reshaping” the public debate in good and healthy ways. For example, tax on tampons and other menstrual products. President Obama suggested there should not be a tax on tampons and if this issue this shows that women are impacting the conversation. Kristof also goes off by saying that female leader do not really focus on women's right but when Clinton was traveling as Secretary of State, she discussed issues such as domestic violence, human trafficking, equal pay and etc.…

No, it is inappropriate for any sitting President to get involved with party politics so far in advance of an upcoming election. In fact, Obama should keep his mouth shut as past Presidents have done, but then Obama is very much anxious to keep his politics and legacy alive through Hillary Clinton, so as I expect, he’s going to be an inappropriate outgoing and past President until the day he…

Napoleon, Aristotle, and Confucius all viewed women as useless creatures. Aristotle, for instance, once said “A proper wife should be as obedient as a slave.” The countless amount of sexist opinions that come out of powerful men have greatly affected the presence of females in political affairs and have gated their entrance into equality. Hillary Clinton challenges this idea in her speech, “Women’s Rights are Human Rights.” She believes women, of all backgrounds, should be able to exercise their basic human and legal rights and participate in political situations.…

Recently, rapper and producer T.I. made a statement that he will not vote for Hillary Clinton for president, because she is a woman. His statement became important in the news, because his opinion is shared with many people throughout the United States and the world. Many people stereotype women as being extremely over emotional and believe they have a tendency to make rash decisions. T.I. believes that they would permanently and negatively affect the United States. He also believes they would not be able to negotiate with other leaders over foreign policy, which seems to be a poor accusation, because there are women presidents in other countries that deal with foreign policy constantly.…

As a supporter of Hillary Clinton, it is frustrating to see her campaign bogged down with the same questions for almost two years now. Any objective assessment of her ability to do function as a president will show that she is more qualified than the best that the republican party can ever produce, at least for now. It doesn’t matter whether it’s John Kasich, Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio or anyone else. President Obama is absolutely correct when he said that there has never been anyone more qualified for the office than Hillary Clinton.…

But Hillary didn't start her career by herself. She needed a man, Bill Clinton, to start her career. She would have never been a political contender if it was not for Bill Clinton. Gender bias, as defined by the Macmillian Dictionary, is unfair difference in the treatment of men or women because of their sex. Gender bias is not as big of a problem as some people may think in the 2016 election. People are over analyzing the situation and Neither Trump nor Clinton have a disadvantage or advantage. I'm not totally disagreeing that there isn't gender bias but if there is it won't affect who wins. First off, Gender bias isn't as big of a problem as some people think in the election because people will be voting for the person who helps the country the most and not because of their gender.…

Hillary Clinton is one of two candidates of the Democratic Party to be nominated as the 45th President of the United States of America, and if she can win the election on November 8th, 2016, will go down in history as the first female President of the United States. Her major opponent, the Republican “outsider” candidate also known as business mogul Donald J. Trump, has claimed many times that Hillary Clinton “is unfit” or “incapable” of holding the office of the President of the United States because of all the scandals and controversies that she is and was involved in, during her time as Secretary of State, Senator of New York, and First Lady of the United States of America. As a return to Donald Trump’s claims during one debate, Hillary…

Former Democratic Presidential Nominee and wife of Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, is an overt supporter of women’s rights and has been known to speak upon this topic. Nowadays, the word “feminist” is frequently used as a derogatory term and thrown around as an insult. Many people are under the impression that to be a feminist, one must abhor men, must hate housewives, and must not wear makeup. Strangely, none of these are what defines a feminist. A feminist is an individual who believes in the equality of both sexes, as argued by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie in her TED Talk, We Should All Be Feminists. In her speech, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie emphasizes how detrimental the effects of gender inequality are on humans, but most importantly, women.…
