In my life, I should remember the aphorism ”Tart words make no friends; a spoonful of honey will catch more flies than a gallon of vinegar” when I get mad. Franklin’s wise words can influence me to remain cordial; even if I am upset with the other person. By remaining friendly I will likely get more accomplished with them, and possibly even get the results that I wanted to begin with. On the contrary, if I would speak harshly when I get angry I will most likely just make the other person mad as well, and get nothing accomplished. Franklin’s words are truly insightful: providing us all with an underlying knowledge of how our words can affect others.
