Donald Trump Anti Heroism

Zelizer, a Princeton University professor, misconstrued his belief of the association of the public preference of an anti-hero and how it correlates with candidate preference. Julian Zelizer believes Americans support the candidate of the Republican party because he possesses the traits of the anti-hero. Being that I’m a Donald Trump supporter, I do not agree with his assumptions that Americans prefer an anti-hero, I believe Americans want change. Furthermore, I believe the public is affectionate to anti heroes only in media such as movies. Politics and entertainment are two different species, the public will root for an anti hero in a movie, but not as a presidential candidate. Zelizer completely mislabelled Donald Trump, because I, and many Americans believe Donald Trump is a hero, and make vast changes.
Americans seek change, rather than an anti-hero, for instance look at Barack Obama, the first African American president. A man who made the American debt three times worse in a matter of eight years. For instance, “If Democrats think they will have an easy time stopping him in the fall, they might want to take a closer look at the characters who have been attracting the masses in recent years.” Otherwise, everything else that Zelizer stated were false. Americans do not correlate their affections in media with their affections in candidates. Moreover, Americans prefer anti heros in media such as television shows or movies, but not in the White House. Also Donald Trump supporters support change not an anti hero with unethical, mean intentions.Donald Trump is helping to repair America, and is not in it for his best interest, unlike Hillary Clinton who is trying to line her pockets.
