The quote was a very big issue to many of the brothers. Many of them couldn't be themselves because they had “brothers” I think this quote had a few different meanings, but one that really stood out to me. They all felt trapped not knowing what else was out there. Not being able to “love” or anything along those lines. A lot of them were curious, they wanted to be free and be able to be open minded. To be their own person. Once Equality left he began to feel free from his brothers. He began to feel like his own person.
