The Anthem is a book that describes the reality and truths of many people’s lives in this world. Equality 7-2521 was born into a society that eliminates completely individuality and uniqueness of a person. The people in that society are taken away from their parents and placed in a “Home of the Infants” and move to the “Home of the Students” at the age of five. During Equality’s school years, his teachers disliked him for being “too smart” and the authorities berated him for being taller than most of the boys his age.
