When researching about animals and science I learned a lot and was highly surprised about many things. First off I learned what the Animal Welfare Act is. I didn’t know there was such a thing but the idea of it completely makes sense. When I went deeper it research I found some very surprising facts. I learned that the AWA only protects 5% of animals tested on, and the other 95% of animals tested on are most regularly used. Then I learned that a normal person can only report people that don’t follow this federal law to the USDA and then the USDA will decide if the report sounds convincing enough and then go investigate it. Next, if the USDA finds incriminating evidence against a person they will be fined. I also learned and found it very shocking
