The Angel Moroni In The Book Of Mormon

The most common belief of how the Book of Mormon came about into existence was said to come through Joseph Smith who claimed he was directed to discover buried ancient golden plates that were inscribed by prophets that he later translated into the book in which he said with the use of spectacles prepared for that specific purpose. The angel Moroni was one of them who showed him were to find the plates and according to him was one of the narratives of what was written on them. There were various witnesses who claimed this to be true and some who had even handled the plates and been visited by several angels.
