Moreover, it contains church and chapel for people to come together to pray, curating funeral ceremony, as other ritual performances. Ancient Greek 's residence has many significant inventions such as mud brick wall, but one of the most extravagant features would be flooring detail Tesserae that only used for important room. The tasserare is flooring motif that is made from small pieces of cut stones with squared edges, made from pebbles, stones, and lead. These motifs help to contribute the esthetic of ancient Greek and also redefine social meaning of function in residential housing of the Greek. The Abbey of Monastery looks up to the Roman manner for its architecture, where one can see the exploration of Romanesque style through out its Chapel. The roof of the chapel is constructed with barrel vault and heavy thick wall to support the weight of the arches. In conclusion, residential house in Ancient Greek and The Abbey Monastery in Medieval period are two distinctive architectural and interior structures that present two ideologies of socio-cultural and politic of their contemporary time. By looking at their space planning and how innovative they are in term of contemporary dwelling design, one could see an phenomenon thinking that went through these interior design that could reflect greatly on its environmental condition of the time, the culture, and the
