In order to improve the care of patients, I think everyone has to be made aware that caring for an individual is more than just following the golden rule, but it is a science. Caring for a patient is not just being nice to them, but it is advocating for them at every level of care and protecting their best interest. Every interaction with a patient is an opportunity to show one’s competency not only by using evidence based practices but also evidence based caring practices.
