Growing up as children it is taught that it is not what is on the outside appearance of our bodies that matters, but what is on the inside of our heart. In America it is taught that there is freedom in this country and everyone is equal no matter what race, religion, or gender. God has given each individual on this world a unique personality and heart, however in this corrupt world everyone faces problems and some people live with disabilities. People are treated differently when they face disabilities; it is harder for these to individuals to acquire jobs, be treated equal, and live life with out a constant struggle in everyday activities. According to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, this law prohibits employers, state and local governments, employment agencies and labor unions from discriminating against qualified individuals with disabilities in job applications procedures, hiring, firing, advancement, compensation, job train, and other terms, conditions and privileges of employment (Facts About The Americans with Disabilities Act, 2015). This law is divided into five different sections. Employment is the first that discuss that businesses need to provide reasonable accommodations for applicants and employees with disabilities. This act instructs the business to create work-sites more accessible, provide any special services and modify equipment (The Americans with Disabilities Act: A Brief Overview, 2012). The second section is public services, which declares public service cannot deny services to people with disabilities, this includes buses, train, and other forms of transportation. The third is public accommodations, which is important for businesses to be aware of by creating facilities that can be accessible to individuals with disabilities (Americans Disabilities Act Overview). Telecommunications is the fourth section discussing that companies who provide telephone services to the public need to provide an additional service for individuals with a deaf disability. The last section provides miscellaneous information about threating and insulting individuals with disabilities.
