James Madison, who later became the federalist leader, knew that this nation needed to be taken care of, and so with him and Thomas Jefferson, they set out to fix this. James Madison thought that to let America be the best of its ability, would be to fight ambition with ambition, you have to have the want to fix their needs, and show that you will be able to do it. James knew that men were no angels, and that this issue would come up sooner or later. He was prepared to take care of this cause, and with Thomas Jefferson 's help, they got rid of the Articles of Confederation and started the Constitution, changing how the Americas worked for a long time. This political change was huge, and everyone had mutually agreed on getting rid of the Article of Confederation, many people thought scraping the document and making a new one would be best for America. Between Jefferson and Madison, there was a lot of fighting, which ended up making up two different types of parties, the Federalists, and the Democratic Republican. Throughout the 1700s and the 1800s, it was obvious how social impacts from the revolution did, as multiple women finally stood for themselves and spoke up. Economically, the Americas managed to get rid of slavery and somewhat ruined a huge economic chance for the North side of the colonists land.
