The American revolution and Haitian Revolution all achieve their initial political goals with verging of success. Rebellion was the key point of success and both revolutions. Despite the social cost of the Haitian Revolution they were able to propel the ideas of democracy and the idea of the quality far beyond boundaries established by the American revolution. Both of these revolutions are known as the greatest revolution in the western hemisphere.

But when the French and Indian war took place in 1757 through 1763 King George the third lost a great deal of money due to the high expenses of supplies for his army and the colonies. In order to pay off his debt he impose a tax on the colonies without their consent. This caused many uproar throughout the colonies. The colonist did not like being taxed for something that had always been free. They immediately begin to boycott British goods. This thus made the king furious, King George wasted no time in sending soldiers across the Atlantic to make sure the colonies would behave as the way they should. The colonist decided to revolt. A group of colonist dressed up as American Indians and boarded the ship in the night they through hundreds of barrels of tea overboard into the harbor ruining it all. In response to the Boston tea party the kingdom pose the intolerable acts. This made many colonists even angrier. The intolerable acts cause the First Continental Congress it was a group of 55 delegates representing 12 of the 13 colonies. They came together to send the declaration of rights and grievances to the king. This was the United States declaring a revolution. Tensions were far too high for the king to respond in favor of the colonist. This caused the Battle of Lexington and Concord.
