The first point that have caught my attention in chapter 4 is the fact that, it is bieing seen the American Revolution was a substitution of one tyranny for one tyranny. Zin is trying to show us that the founding fathers were just a elite that was trying to keep the lower classes to stay in the" low class " category. In the beginning of the chapter he says that the founders was taking over land, political power and profits from the British empire. As they do that they will be able to hold back potential rebellions and create a popular support for the rule of privilege leadership. the second point would be the fact that the lower class would become very angry against the rich elites but as smart as the founders was they managed to convince…

The American Revolution was an unpredicted uprising by the American colonies fighting for independence from their ostensibly tyrannical British Empire. The insurrection was surprising in the fact that Americans displayed hardly any distaste for being a part of the British Empire. Despite possessing advantages for being a part of the Empire, the American colonies developed an animosity towards the British after a series of events that would leave the ununified colonies exasperated. These events consequently led the colonies to form reasons to secede from the Empire, overcome disunity, feel threatened by taxation without representation, scrutinize the repressive legislation that Parliament passed against them, and eventually succeed in winning the Revolutionary War.…
The American Revolution created a new nation that was different than what most nations were at the time. It was what helped make the United States distinctive. It was rough in the beginning social class was a factor that made it hard to unite the nation in certain colonies like Virginia. The American Revolution was not only one of the first revolutions, but one of the most successful, setting an example to other nations. As many revolutions start, the people in America were angry with King George III of Britain, Parliament who put high taxes on the people, and not having equal rights with the people in Britain. The Enlightenment was also a huge influence on the American people as they wanted the…
The American Revolution was an uprising of colonist people who where discontent with the British authorities. There bravery to fight against the British army and to oppose the king had a great payoff and shaped the America we have today. From 1765 to 1783 many significant events happened that inspired the colonist to go into revolution. This war was not an overnight thing, British build up hate from the colonist for several year. The American Revolution was not really a revolutionary event in this country’s history. Before the war, Great Britain, and most specifically, the King and Parliament ruled the American colonies. The colonists had no say in what the laws that were given to the colonies said. However, the colonists began to have new political ideas, most of which being inspired by men like John Locke, that were considered tyranny against the King. These ideas eventually became more developed and were put into the Declaration of Independence, or Document 2, which said that all men had “unalienable rights”, which included “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”…
Republicanism was a lifestyle, a center belief system, rigid responsibility to freedom and fairness. Upholding common quality was critical to triumph. The American Revolution was tamer and less straining than others. Amid the American Revolutionary Era, the new American Republic can be said to have been altogether effective in implementing the essential objectives of the evolution itself. While the new-conceived United States of America had not yet completely accomplished the choices that it’s establishing documents so vividly verbalized, its essential objectives accomplishing freedom and establishing a basis for the support of that freedom had in fact been proficient by…
The Real American Revolution The British American colonists believed that as full British citizens they were equally entitled to the rights and privileges of the British Constitution, but in Great Britain they disagreed, they thought of the colonists as subordinate not equal and that the colonists were intended to serve the mother country. The colonists were frustrated that they were not being recognized as true Britons and felt they were being deprived of their “English Liberties”,quarrels over trade, taxation, and political representation sparked a political movement that led to rebellion from the colonists. The colonists felt that the king and Parliament together were trying to make slaves of them and if they could not be seen as equals to Britain then to what obligations did they have to the mother country. This resistance to king and Parliament was the real American Revolution and by 1776 would…

There are many factors that make the revolution revolutionary from fighting the best military and navy power in the world to the unification of all the colonies to rise up and fight as one and together for a common cause. Its revolutionary how a bunch of farmers and merchants decide to take on the super power of the time the British army and navy. What were the causes? The American Revolution was a political rebellion that started in 1765, and ended in 1783. The American Revolution is inconceivable in the absence of the context of ideas which have constituted Christianity. There are three main events in history that affected it; the reformation, the two revolutions in England, and the flight to America. The first event is the Protestant Reformation. It began in 1517 because Martin Luther, a Catholic priest in Germany, challenged his church’s ideas and practices.…
The American Revolution was a political revolution that separated North America from Great Britain. This revolution pursued to create a nation based upon the foundation of personal freedom and democracy. Although the American Revolution was widely believed to be an effort to remove British control, it was radical in the principles it established throughout the revolution. The statuses of women, slaves and loyalists were significantly altered, along with the newly adopted democratic…
My book, The American Revolution: A Grand Mistake, was written by Leland G. Stauber. Prometheus Books published the 276 page book in 2010. In this book the author described four main consequences of the American Revolution. His four main points are the dilemma of slavery, legislative union vs. purely voluntary federation, the American System of Government, and the mindset of Americans about the role of Government. Stauber wrote this book so that Americans can understand that the American Revolution was not as perfect as it may seem and had many dire consequences.…
