Each person will have to work at least one day of their lives, that is true, however some people will have to work harder than others. For instance, my mother arrived in this country at the ripe age of 9, in 1975. She had a plethora of responsibilities by the time she turned 17; she worked two jobs, payed for her sister’s and her own education, paid all the bills, supported her elderly mother, and attended university all at the same time. Being a native Spanish speaker, she was ridiculed for her ethnic differences which later favored her in the work force. From the first step on American soil, she knew she had a ton of work to do. Another example of hard working Americans falls under the financial regression following the stock market crash of 1929. Millions of Americans fell short of cash, and the Great Depression had begun. However, through diligence and hard labor. Americans themselves brought back the country we know and love today.
