LinkedIn’s founders Reid Hoffman, Allen Blue, Konstantin Guericke, Eric Ly and Jean-Luc Vaillant birthed the employment-oriented social networking service that operates via websites on December 14, 2002; the site officially launched on May 5, 2003. LinkedIn is utilized by various government entities, private sectors, stakeholders and other individuals across the globe seeking complete access and engaging opportunities with businesses, media, customers, and other resources. LinkedIn also allows jobseekers access to various industries, effective job searches, and an up-to-date professional online presence. Presented with the task of reinventing my professional LinkedIn page and creating a branding statement, I utilized the North American Industry Classification System Codes (NAICS), and the University of Maryland, University College (UMUC) Library to locate relevant articles and blogs on the internet.
