The American Flag has always been a symbol for freedom, unity, and power. This monument will stand as a reminder of that and of all the founding fathers have done to build this country. The founding fathers displayed are George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, John Jay, and Alexander Hamilton. The flag has stood by us in times of good and bad, and has continued to inspire us. During the Olympics our flag has been a sign of victory. When 9/11 happened it was something that brought people together and helped us pull through. Our first president knew we needed this emblem and that is why he was sent to have the flag made by Betsy Ross. The original flag was created in 1777 with only thirteen stars, but
