When someone wants to go somewhere, but they don’t have the resources like money, a ride, permission, or citizenship, they look for a way to get there without them. Anyone can ask a friend or a parent for a ride or money, there is no a way for illegal immigrants to get around needing a citizenship legally. For example let’s say someone in an impoverished country wanted to come to America for a better life, the American dream or to work to send family members money, if immigrants do not have any means to get here, he or she could resort to smuggling. The American dream should be achieved through living an honest way of life, honest hard work, dedication and determination. The American dream is an honest living. Getting up day after day without the fear of getting caught by the police, getting deported, or killed is an honest living. For example if an illegal immigrant has to marry some in America to avoid getting deported or resorting to crime to make a living is not honest. “We learned about honesty and integrity - that the truth matters... that you don't take shortcuts or play by your own set of rules... and success doesn't count unless you earn it fair and square”. If anyone from any country puts that blood, sweat, and tears in their life, it should be enough when going for the American dream be it legal or illegal.
