Whether you are an immigrant who desires to reach the upper social class and drive the nice car, weather you come from riches and now are poor, college is now really the only way to get a better paying job. College is the determination of your ability to move up the social ladder. College is more of a business now than an educational institution, for the fact that people need it now more than ever. Money is a very persuasive factor, especially in politics. The voices which are most respected are those which are the most successful. Money gets power, but most people don’t get much money. It perpetuates to some the belief that they may never make it to the top, especially the lower class. Mindsets like these stagnate the processes of social mobility and spread the idea that people are stuck at the bottom. Mindsets and beliefs destroy opportunity. The top one percent don’t even pay taxes on their corporate businesses, they manipulate the system in ways that would send the anyone one not in the upper echelon to prison for tax evasion.
