The American Dream Classification Essay

I believe that the American dream isn’t achievable, but those with great persistence and determination can reach a new goal better than the average. I believe when trying to achieve the American dream, you can’t reach it, but you can achieve something lower than the American dream. When climbing towards the American dream, that is just out of reach, and the goal you can actually reach, it is like climbing a mountain but not being able to reach the peak. The peak of the mountain is the American dream and the place where you end up at the end of your climb below the peak is your new goal. The bottom of the mountain is where everyone else, who don’t have determination or any motivation, is. When climbing a mountain, climbers need tools to make sure their climb is as safe as it can be. Mountain climbers use an axe to provide an anchor point when climbing. I believe in an axe used to help climber reach higher during their climb. When climbing and using the axe, the axe represents how much the goal they are reaching for means to them. The idea of the goal keeps them anchored during their climb.

They use oxygen tanks to help them breathe and survive. As they climb they use up the oxygen stored in the tank, and they can only travel as far as the oxygen lets them. The oxygen tank represents the determination they need to achieve their goal. If you don’t have determination or any want to reach the goal, you won’t be able to achieve the goal you want. The determination is just like oxygen, you can only go as far as the oxygen can let you go. The oxygen and determination controls how far you make it on your journey to you goal.
