EA 2- Synthesis Argument Essay
What does the “American Dream” mean to people? What does it mean to the American people and to the immigrants from all around the world from different places, different countries, South, West, East and North. They all have different visions on what they are going to do and how they are going to live in the United States of America, to live the “American Dream”.
The “American Dream” is different for people. It has to do with hope- hoping to find a better life than they had from where they had came from. Opportunities is what people come for; jobs, freedom, dreams. People also want to come to the United States for escape, escaping war, genocide, violence. In the South the biggest problem is cartels. Every cartel is different some rape, kidnap, torture, kill in many ways even decapitation some cartels do all. Rivals get the consequences if they get caught but also innocent people have to deal with the problems that is why some leave to come to America others come for family or a better life. “Colored” people getting put down for the color of their skin the way they talk or look. Sexism is an issue that is also taken seriously. Even though it improved since the start some women can not do a lot of things. Men were seen more dominate and women fought for equality and they got it but it still needs to improve. In jobs especially. People being discriminated for being a specific ethnicity being another race makes them “less than a person” they get made fun of or they can not get a job. There is segregation in America it is just not that noticeable. There are areas for everyone but it can be for some more specific ethnicities.
