The American Dream Argument Analysis

In a 2011 poll, “75% of Americans said “the American Dream was still possible and achievable for other people like you.”(Strain) A 2014 poll showing, “ A whopping 63 percent of adults ages 18-34 believe the American Dream has become impossible for most people to achieve.”(Strain) As with the tanking of our economy a few years ago, Americans have gotten back from much worse things like the Great Depression and the Civil War. In which in one case it may have just been the economy but having a huge impact on the people. Whether it be a failing economy we have proven time after time we can rally ourselves from worse situations. As Marco Rubio said, “We cannot allow our fears and our disappointments to lead us into silence and into inaction.” The American Dream still keeps on living, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, although some may call it dead being very worried for this generation people have proven the dream is still possible like so many have proven before in their pursuit of the American Dream and living it.
