Reading this book was very interesting because of the diversity of the characters that were introduced in the first installation of this book series. For instance, we are introduced to Nicholas Flamel’s unique abilities as a potions master, …show more content…
The locations mentioned in the book varied and were able to test the characters’ reflexes and skills to avoid danger. My only gripe with this is that there was not much progress in the development of the characters as there is with switching from location to location in their quest to reclaim the Book of Abraham. I think that this first book was supposed to be action-filled, but I think that there was not enough interaction between the characters that contributed to the build up of suspense and character
