The Ailurus fulgens is a cat sized animal of carnivorous mammal theirfound in the temperate mountain forests on the slops of the Himalays. They eat bamboo, berries, and eggs. They live up to 8 to 12 years. When they are babys they are called cubs. They wean for 5 months. They not that big of a animal, they weight about 7 to 14 pounds. The red pandas spend most of there time during the day sleeping, they usually come down to the ground after dark They are found in southern China and northen Burma. The red panda have fur, its like a reddish-brown color. They have a shaggy tail, and a long body with short legs.The red panda is the only living species of the genus Ailurus and the family ailuridae. It might have the name panda but their not related
