I think that this movie touched upon multiple life aspects too. This movie was about a poor black family that lived in a small apartment, with two bedrooms, and just one bathroom to share amongst 5 people, as well as other people on their floor of the apartment complex. The grandmother receives $10,000 from an insurance payment which was worth a lot more back around the 1940’s. They decide to buy a new home, a lot larger and suitable for their family, but the only downfall to that was it was located in a white community who did not accept the black race. That being said, I believe that this movie displays the perfect example of how it touches upon discrimination of life aspects. This movie shows the aspect of family and how they stick together through the tough times. It also shows their wealth of low-paying and long-hour careers, which leads to a financial salvation and in the end living in an unwelcoming community. Then in the end, they improve their lives for themselves in a better
