Many people have been debating on whether competitive sports should be supported for children. The pros for supporting competitive sports have a wide variety of benefits under 2 categories, Mental and Physical strengths. Between the context of injuries and mental and physical strengths, the pros for supporting competitive sports overhold way more benefits than the risk of a rare injury as argued from many other sources. I think competitive sports should be influenced for kids because it helps their mental and physical skills.

Competitive sports can improve mental and social traits that helps kids develop and learn skills needed in life. For example, kids that start competitive sports at a young age will develop a “Mindset for Success” as Kirk Mango quoted it an author who develops mindsets for children and young teens about physical activity. One of mangos thoughts on a ‘Mindset for Success” is that kids will develop skills such as--”good time management skills, strategies for improving skill set, build strong

The Pros of competitive sports improve on many physical and mental skills which help the kid develop over time. The Cons include risks of injury, too much pressure at such young age, and stress. To get one point to the side, pressure and stress is exactly one of the many things competitive sports teaches kids to deal with. All it does is exercise their brain activity for these new skills that the kids have made of. The other main argument is that kids have a rare chance of getting injured. Many cases of people arguing that competitive sports should not be influenced in kids have blurred out all of the things that they gain. All of these benefits are blurred out giving people a sense of risk which has to be stopped. An illusion of fear is what they make of it.
