Introduction Machines are used everywhere nowadays, however, there is a huge difference between typical machines and artificial intelligent machines. “Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the capability of a device to perform activities, which would otherwise only be expected of human brain” (Keswani, 2013, p. 348). For example, robots in malls and hospitals, our smart phones and some programs, and big machines in huge industries that work without a human operator. According to Health Research Funding (2014), US had performed 400,000 different surgeries using robots and the rate of these surgeries is increasing every year by 25%. Additionally, transferring blood during normal surgeries has a rate about 40%, while robotic surgeries has a very small …show more content…
The new main idea in medicine nowadays is to perform robotic surgeries, so it is necessary to get some specialized people ready to program those robots. The specialized people must study theoretical and practical courses to have a perfect control and program for robots (Pushkar, 2012). Even though many people do not trust the machines to do surgeries, but it has been proved in many situations that robots with high AI are successful. As Pushkar (2012) noted, in November 2002, 15 successful heart surgeries were done by robots. In that year, robots started to do heart surgeries without opening the chest. Moreover, Intelligent machines are helping the doctors to improve in the modern field of medicine (Pushkar, 2012). “In 2011, different countries performed 278000 robotic operations, the most popular of which is radical prostatectomy” (Pushkar, 2012, p. 417). From these studies, we can be sure now that AI is really helpful in surgery because now robots can operate the heart surgeries without opening the chest and it is more reliable since they do not have emotions and do not get distracted. Even more, if we need a professional doctor immediately, but he can not be there in time. He can perform the surgery using a robot controlled from a distance. Therefore, they are changing their human workers with intelligent machines which are controlled by computers. As Wang (2014, p. 471) defined the Electric Automation, “Electrical Automation is the study of electrical engineering systems running related, automatic control, power electronics technology,and computer applications in the field”. The advantages of using Electric Automation are design ideas will be more simple to create, strengthen the performance of the manufacture, reliability and it is easy to use. Using AI in Electrical automation control will increase the efficiency of products, shorten the production cycle, improve the quality, and reduce the need of humans (Wang, 2014). Furthermore, using AI as Electric Automation will reduce the need of manpower in manufacturing. The more we use AI, the faster the society will improve and increase its production. Moreover, Wang (2014) concluded AI is being used in electrical industries because it is a demand for a fast evolution of our association. For example, the car factory nowadays is producing thousands of cars each month using AI machines that make the production cycle fast and organized. Obviously, applying AI in electric automation is developing the efficiency of the electric system in the production
